2023 HOMECOMING PARADE

Hello parents! 

 

Prairie Hawk Softball Club will be doing a float or two in this year's homecoming parade. The parade will take place on Friday, September 29th around 1:45 pm. We would love to have as many girls as possible be a part of this. 

 

We will be decorating posters for the float on Wednesday, September 27th at the HS Gallery rooms. This will be an open house event from 6-8 pm. Your daughter can come to decorate a poster and leave once they are finished. We will then bring all of the posters to the parade on Friday. Posters are NOT required to ride or walk with the floats!

 

If your daughter does plan to ride on the float she will need to be picked up from school and dropped off around 1:15 at the back parking lot of Kirkwood hotel. If your daughter has a jersey or a prairie softball shirt please have her wear that. If not, she can wear anything Prairie! Parents are also more than welcome to stay and participate in the parade with the girls as well.

 

Following the parade, we will have our floats drive back to the Kirkwood hotel parking lot. 

 

In order for your daughter to participate, you will need to contact her school before then to allow for her to be dismissed early and you need to get her to the pick up area. Parent permission is required, but if you choose to carpool with someone, make sure that is told to the school. We will also submit a list of girls to each elementary/creek/point school of girls who have signed up. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for transportation of any of the players to be on the float.

 

If this sounds like something you want your daughter to do, please sign up using this google form so we can get the proper amount of materials and a solid list of who is going to come on the float. This is due by Friday, September 22nd.
